Our guests are still buzzing about our party last month, describing it as the best wedding reception they’ve ever been to! We’re still enjoying the buzz ourselves…
When we began thinking about where to hold our event we had only a two requirements, but they were tough ones. We wanted something uniquely New York – something that would leave a lasting impression – especially for our out-of-town guests. But we also wanted something fresh and different, and maybe with a little “edge” for our local friends. Native New Yorkers can be tough to impress, but the minute we laid eyes on Studio Square’s Empire Suite we knew it was the place. The ride up in the funky freight elevator added just the right element of surprise when our guests exited into the spaciousness and elegance of the room and caught sight of the breathtaking views of the city skyline.
And the food! Everybody raved about Sterling’s buffet, delighted with the “interactive station,” lovely presentation and deliciousness. We took leftovers down to the Beer Garden after the party, bestowing them on kindly strangers who let us squeeze onto their picnic benches – they disappeared almost before we could set them down! The service was top notch, too – Jessica, Joaquin (from Sterling), our lovely elevator operator, and the rest of the staff were all super-attentive.
So thanks, Amy, to you and everyone at Studio Square for making our party a success beyond our expectations. No fewer than ten of my guests have commented to me that they would like to find a reason to host a party at S2 – and you can bet that we will be back to host anniversary celebrations in the coming years!
